Brian Covey is Director of Bands at Lockport Township High School. Mr. Covey was appointed director in 2003 after serving two years as Associate Director of Bands. While maintaining the music department, he conducts the Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, and assists with the Freshman Band. His roles also include overseeing the Marching Porters, Pep Band, and Jazz Program.

Prior to joining Lockport High School, Mr. Covey attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree and received his Masters of Education at VanderCook College of Music in Chicago, Illinois. Under his direction, the Wind Symphony has performed at numerous competitions and festivals receiving division one ratings. Highlights include the Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic, the MENC National Conference, Illinois Music Educators Association State Conference, the Chicago and Dallas Symphony Centers, the National Concert Band Festival, and the Illinois Superstate Festival.

As a clinician and adjudicator, Mr. Covey has served as a judge for many regional Solo and Ensemble Contests and as an adjudicator for the Illinois High School Association, the Illinois Grade School Music Association, and numerous Solo and Ensemble Festivals.

He holds four Citations of Excellence from the National Band Association, has been chosen five times as "Who's Who Among American Teachers", has been awarded the Chicagoland Educator of the Year from Quinlan and Fabish Music, and nominated for "Lockport Township High School Teacher of the Year". He is a member of the Music Educators National Association, the National Band Association, the International Association of Jazz Educators, and serves as the Illinois Music Educator's Association District 1 Band Representative.

Anna Mudroch received her Bachelors of Music Education Degree from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and joined the Lockport Township High School faculty in 2006. As Associate Director of Bands, Ms. Mudroch's responsibilities include directing the Freshman Band, Concert Band, instructing Music Technology and Piano I & II, assisting with the Marching Band, Pep Band, and Jazz Band, and acting as the Official Sponsor of the Winter Guard.

Ms. Mudroch is also an active performer. During her undergraduate years, Ms. Mudroch performed with the Wind Symphony under the direction of Mr. James Keene, the University Symphony Orchestra, the Marching Illini, multiple Symphonic and Athletic Bands, and has worked numerous years with the Illinois Summer Youth Music Camp as a flute instructor. Her professional affiliates include the Music Educators National Conference, National Band Association, National Flute Association, and the Sigma Alpha Iota Womens Music Fraternity.
